How to recover data from games when the PS3 says "Hard Drive Corrupted"

It is an unfortunate truth to say that when your hard drive goes problem, you may not be able to recover your data. This will depend on the reason that made your hard drive has a problem: if the damage mechanics you'll need to purchase a new hard drive, but if the damage is logical (or corrupted system files), you can recover your data, or by least format the hard drive and continue using. You need to enter the Restore PS3 menu to repair or format your hard drive.

Hold the "Power" button of the PS3 until it beeps twice; it will take you to the menu of restoration. Connect control of your PS3 console through the USB port to navigate through the options available. You should see six options in total.

Select "Restore Default Settings" option (restore default setting). If the corruption is in the operating system or firmware, restore repair the damage without removing your personal files. However, all that is present in the user account is restored to its default value.

Make sure your PS3 is booting and allowing access to your files. If not, there is a high probability that the problem is in your personal or mechanical hard drive, and not on the system configuration. If you can access the menu system through its user account, you can use the Backup utility to restore the data that are available.

Go back to the menu of restoration, again holding the "Power" (turn) until it beeps twice and the light for the menu button.

Select "Restore PS3 System" and follow the instructions that appear on your screen to complete the process of formatting your hard drive. By doing this, all the data on your hard disk will be deleted and the operating system is reinstalled.
